2011 Hyundai Sonata Review

Hyundai introduced its new Hyundai Sonata from 2011 to 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show. It was the American premiere of the latest version of the popular midsize sedan, the introduction of Hyundai language "Sculpture fluid" design and a list of four-cylinder engine in the U.S. market.

Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai is the second vehicle 24 / 7 version 2.0 product initiative (seven new models over the next 24 months) after the new Tucson. Hyundai Sonata will begin production in December 2009 at the Hyundai plant in Alabama, U.S. retail sales in January 2010.

2011-Sonata is a modern approach to traditional medium-size sedan leading companies only four-cylinder engines, emotional design and luxury to the proposal offered by Hyundai high value. 2011-Hyundai Sonata raises interesting questions:

* Why a luxury sedan is a solid modern, elegant, sophisticated style?

* Why pay so much to get a taste of luxury?

* Why can not a powerful four-cylinder engine that delivers V6 power?

Sculpture fluid idiom

Sonata projects from 2011 and 2010 in Tucson, Hyundai's engineers went to work about three and a half years ago, Sculpture fluidic components. Fluidic components sculpture is a consistent, unified design language, or chain across the Hyundai showroom. In developing the first drafts of the Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai's engineers liked the interaction between the natural, fluid elements with hard surfaces and structures to create the illusion of continuous motion. Inspired by nature, fluid flow components sculpture injects elegance and dynamic angles of the shape of the vehicle, and now serves as the core of planning for the identity of the future of Hyundai.

The exterior of the new Hyundai Sonata is a long, thin and weak. The high beltline gives the possibility of a long sleek roofline is highlighted by the third window. A single-page profile form contains fluid lines are highlighted by chrome accents Hyundai signature that extends along the length of the car. Usually, this type of plate are found around windows. On the new Hyundai Sonata, extends this headlights base, multiply on the cover and throughout the beltline. The face is fat with a heavy chrome grille and large headlights, which incorporate specific details. The position is completed at 16 -, 17 - or 18-inch multi-spoke wheels.

The sophisticated look continues inside, where Hyundai has created an atmosphere of luxury thanks to a continuous flow of the center console and dashboard. These complement the general appearance of flowing surfaces and wrap around the driver and passengers.

HYUNDAI PACKAGING EFFICIENCY

The elegant design, along with Hyundai's experience in interior packaging, have produced an interior that offers comfort first, functionality and practicality. A sleek roofline compromises normal height and the interior volume, but at 120.2 cubic feet, the Hyundai Sonata has the most interior volume of its main competitors. Is so vast, Hyundai Sonata is still classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a big car, a true "upper class" Camry, Altima, Fusion and Malibu (all are considered mid-size cars). Even in trunk room, the Hyundai Sonata shines. Sonata 16.4 cubic feet. square trunk space give it an advantage of 9.3 percent in the Camry, and a profit of 17.1 percent in the Agreement.

The new Sonata will launch with the new Hyundai Motor GDI Theta II four-cylinder 2.4-liter direct injection gasoline (GDI) for the supply of fuel, which contributes to fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Hyundai Sonata is the first midsize sedan to take GDI technology as standard equipment on the mechanics of natural aspiration. This short course, more direct fuel delivery, enables better control of the fuel mixture at the optimum time, thus improving efficiency. The fuel is injected by a camshaft drive high pressure pump that operates at pressures up to 2,175 psi. Direct injection also uses a more normal 11,3:1 compression ratio for more power. The pistons are "rounded" to increase the efficiency of combustion in the cylinder. This engine will be better fuel economy in its class, best engine power in its class with four cylinders and more torque in its class.

Hyundai Sonata offers an impressive 23 mpg city/35 mpg highway estimated fuel economy rating * available with a six-speed automatic transmission SHIFTRONIC ®. (If you have a six-speed manual transmission, Hyundai Sonata have been about 23 mpg city/34 mpg highway fuel economy rating.) power and torque ratings preliminary Theta II GDI has 198 hp and 184 Nm of torque. SE trim, which comes standard with two exhaust pipes, the engine produces 200 horsepower. This high-tech, all-aluminum 16-valve engine features Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) and a beak and a Variable Induction System (VIS) for better engine breathing. Version of the engine also meets Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) standard.

Next year, Hyundai will add a 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged four-cylinder GDI and 2.4-liter hybrid model Blue Drive of Hyundai's flagship lithium polymer battery development. Details about these engines will be released in 2010 New York Auto Show. Hyundai Sonata range innovative propulsion system first segment is a key objective of the Hyundai to be the most efficient automaker in the world.

automatic and manual transmissions, six-speed

Hyundai's commitment to the Hyundai Sonata very low fuel consumption continues a six-speed automatic transmission with manual transmission or a six-speed manual SHIFTRONIC.

Hyundai A6MF2 new six-speed automatic engine to help the company achieve its goals for improving fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Shifts are silky smooth and the ability to manually go through SHIFTRONIC function.

Drivers can access the SHIFTRONIC by moving the gear selector into a separate port. Pushing the selector forward or pulling it rearward will shift the transmission up or down sequentially, adding to driver control. SE trim also features steering wheel-mounted paddles. A clear LCD display on the dashboard shows the tools used.

Designed for transverse engine applications in cars and SUVs, a new broadcast is part of Hyundai compact car manufacturers elite class, who designed the six-speed automatic transmission in your country. Strength of the design is a unique design that makes it smaller, more compact and lighter than a six-speed available today.

For customers, the new six-speed offers a performance advantage. In this application, help bring an increase of nine percent in fuel economy (35 mpg * compared to 32 miles per gallon). The gearbox has no meter, which is full of automatic transmission fluid is good for the life of the vehicle in normal operating conditions, thus reducing maintenance costs.

Developed over a period of four years, the new six-speed automatic transmission is 26.4 pounds lighter than the five-speed it replaces. It is also 1.6 inches shorter and much simpler, with less than 62 parts, which is a key to increased longevity, lower weight and lower costs.

When it comes to transmissions, multiple gear is much better. The addition of a sixth gear gives a closer spacing between gears providing a better balance between performance and fuel economy, while the broad overall gear ratio helps provide a strong acceleration.

The gearbox has three planetary gear sets and a single flat torque converter that reduces the total length of 0.47-inch drive. Four standard gear to improve sustainability and reduce the size.

Another example of technical ingenuity can be found in the design of the hydraulic pressure test. slight differences from the production of a single solenoid valve to the next often causes a fluctuation of hydraulic pressure to move and influence the accuracy and quality. Shipping exposed Hyundai Sonata combines cleverly side valves, which allow each of the eight valves are calibrated at the factory. This feature ensures a stable hydraulic pressure test at any time, move the box, which allows high precision and control needed to provide moving fast, fluid and precise in learning speed.

RIDE flexible management

Advanced suspension four-wheel independent combines a soft and round, with precise handling and steering response of the Hyundai Sonata GLS and Limited. Sonata uses front MacPherson struts and rear multi-link suspension with increased travel for improved wheel control and a smoother ride. All four wheels are controlled by coil springs, gas shocks fade resistant and stabilizer bars. The suspension has been optimized to keep the vehicle flat during Corning and provide quick turn-in response. The rear suspension uses aluminum components to reduce weight and improve suspension performance. GLS and Limited models also use advanced low tire rolling resistance to improve fuel economy and has good ride and handling.

Hyundai Sonata SE is even more exciting and willing partner for drivers who want to go and sportier driving dynamics. sport-tuned suspension features stiffer springs and stabilizer bars largest, where 20 percent increase in roll stiffness. Unico SE shock in the rear monotube dampers used to control the more aggressive suspension. 18-inch low profile tires will finalize a single chassis shares Hyundai Sonata SE.

All the sonatas are mounted on the column, directly driven by the electric motor that adjusts instantaneously changing driving conditions, while improving fuel economy over a conventional system. A steering quick ratio is used for crisp feel in turn. Hyundai Sonata turning circle of 35.8 feet is better than Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion and Malibu.

CLASS LIST OF WORLD ENERGY-weight

One of his goals for 2011 the engineering team was world class Sonata ratio power / weight. Power to weight ratio of dividends in terms of performance and fuel economy.

Hyundai Sonata is rich in ultra-high strength steel, which leads to the rigidity of the body of world class. In 2011 Hyundai Sonata is 25 percent stiffer in torsion and 19 percent stiffer in bending rigidity than its predecessor, but it is easier than many midsize sedans, also offering more interior space.

This focus on the ratio power / weight pays dividends in all areas. Hyundai Sonata is its ability to offer both strong performance and excellent fuel economy for much of its impressive power to weight efficiency.

The tech safety features: PART OF HYUNDAI Insurance COMMITMENT

Hyundai Sonata is built from the ground up security in mind, a structure with hot-stamped ultra-high strength steel body, airbag technology and electronic stability control (ESC) technology, respects the commitment of Hyundai both the technological leadership of active and passive safety. The previous generation Hyundai Sonata was the first midsize sedan with standard ESC, when it was launched in March 2005. ESC is standard on the Honda Accord to the 2008 model year and 2010 model year Toyota Camry. Once again all the 2011 Sonata has ESC as standard equipment rescue. This is important because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that the results of these 35 percent fewer single vehicle crashes and 30 percent fewer single vehicle fatalities in passenger cars.

Hyundai Sonata is also a state-of-the-art braking package. The package includes four-wheel disc brakes and antilock brakes (ABS) with Brake Assist, which provides maximum braking force when a panic stop is detected, and electronic brake force distributor (EBD) automatically adjusts the front of the and rear braking force depending on load condition of the vehicle.

Hyundai Sonata has six airbags, including dual front, front seat-mounted and side curtain airbags front and rear head restraints along with active front seat. In 2011 Hyundai Sonata is expected to earn NHTSA's highest rating of five stars for frontal and side impacts. Other passive safety features include shingle-style rear seat head restraints for improved visibility, three-point safety belts for all occupants, front belt pretensioners and load limiters and anchoring a seat on the lower back and tethers for children (LATCH) child seat.
